AI Use Policy
This AI Use Policy explains how AI-powered features work on MTG Master and how users should understand and use the results.
MTG Master is operated by Marc Dalmau Ballester, a self-employed professional (“Autónomo”) established in Spain.
This Policy applies together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Payment Terms, and any other applicable policies.
1. What the AI Features Are For
MTG Master uses AI-powered tools to help Magic: The Gathering players understand, review, and improve decks, collections, and gameplay plans.
These features may help with:
- Commander deck analysis
- Bracket and power-level evaluation
- Deckbuilding suggestions
- Mana base review
- Opening-hand and consistency insights
- Card role and synergy analysis
- Collection and wishboard insights
- Natural-language summaries and explanations
- General improvement ideas
The goal is to give players a useful second opinion and make deck analysis faster, clearer, and easier to understand.
AI features are designed to support your decisions as a player, not replace your own judgment, playgroup expectations, or personal deckbuilding style.
2. How to Understand AI Results
Magic: The Gathering, especially Commander, is highly contextual.
A deck can perform differently depending on:
- Your playgroup
- Local meta
- Budget
- Collection availability
- Bracket or power-level expectations
- House rules
- Salt level
- Preferred play style
- Current card legality or format changes
For that reason, AI results should be treated as helpful guidance based on the information available to MTG Master at the time of the analysis.
You should review important suggestions before relying on them, especially when making decisions about:
- Buying, selling, or trading cards
- Tournament or organized play preparation
- Deck legality
- Competitive gameplay decisions
- Major deck changes
MTG Master aims to provide useful and relevant outputs, but deckbuilding and gameplay decisions remain personal and contextual.
3. No Official Rules Authority
MTG Master is an independent fan-made service.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Wizards of the Coast.
AI outputs are not official Magic: The Gathering rulings and do not replace official Wizards of the Coast resources, tournament policy, official card text, or judge guidance.
For official rules, card legality, tournament policy, and Oracle text, users should consult official Wizards of the Coast resources or other recognized official sources.
Magic: The Gathering content remains subject to Wizards of the Coast’s applicable intellectual property rules and Fan Content Policy.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use AI-generated suggestions and outputs.
You agree not to use AI features to:
- Break the law
- Harass, abuse, or mislead others
- Cheat or automate unfair gameplay behaviour
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Spam, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
- Attempt to bypass safeguards, limits, or system restrictions
- Submit content that you do not have the right to use
If AI features are misused, MTG Master may take reasonable and proportionate action, including limiting access to features, suspending access, correcting credit balances, or applying account restrictions in accordance with the Terms of Service.
5. AI-Generated Outputs
AI-generated outputs may include deck evaluations, card suggestions, explanations, summaries, recommendations, warnings, ratings, or other generated content.
Unless restricted by law, third-party rights, or our Terms of Service, you may generally use AI-generated outputs for personal, non-commercial purposes.
AI-generated outputs may not be unique. Similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users, especially when users submit similar decks, prompts, cards, or questions.
Receiving an AI-generated output does not give you exclusive rights over that output, the underlying AI system, MTG Master tools, card data, or third-party content.
6. Data Used by AI Features
When you use AI-powered features, MTG Master may process the information needed to generate the requested result.
This may include:
- Decklists
- Commander selection
- Selected bracket or power level
- Card names and card data
- Collection or wishboard context, where relevant
- User prompts and selected options
- Saved preferences or previous analysis context, where needed for the feature
This data is used to provide the requested AI feature, improve the user experience, maintain service quality, detect abuse, and operate the Service.
Data processing is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
7. External AI Providers and Model Training
MTG Master may use external AI providers to deliver some AI-powered features.
When external AI providers are used, they may process relevant input and output data on our behalf to provide the requested functionality.
AI prompts, decklists, collections, and usage data submitted to MTG Master are not used to train OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or other external AI models, unless this is clearly stated otherwise.
We may use anonymized or aggregated data internally to monitor performance, improve features, detect abuse, and understand how the Service is used.
Please avoid submitting unnecessary personal, confidential, sensitive, or third-party information in prompts, deck notes, comments, or other free-text fields.
8. Availability and Output Quality
MTG Master works to provide useful, clear, and relevant AI-powered features.
However, AI features depend on available data, system availability, user inputs, third-party providers, and technical infrastructure. For this reason, AI features may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or affected by technical issues.
AI outputs may also vary depending on the information provided by the user and the context selected within the Service.
If you believe an AI result is incorrect, unclear, or affected by a technical issue, you can contact us or submit feedback where the Service provides that option.
For paid AI features, payment and credit-related issues are handled according to our Payment Terms.
9. Paid AI Features and Credits
Some AI-powered features may require credits, a subscription, or other paid access.
Before using a paid AI feature, MTG Master will show the relevant cost, credit usage, or access requirement where applicable.
Once a paid AI feature has been executed and the result has been provided, the credits used for that feature are generally considered consumed.
Refunds, payment issues, duplicate purchases, failed delivery, or technical errors are handled under our Payment Terms.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AI Use Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, provider changes, safety improvements, or changes to how AI features work.
When we update this Policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date.
If a change is important, we may also provide additional notice through the Service where appropriate.
