Commander

Leonardo, the Balance

Commander background
Deck description
Turtle Power! is a five-color (WUBRG) Commander deck led by Leonardo, the Balance, rewarding steady token production with a teamwide +1/+1 counter boost once each turn. Mutagen, Food, Treasure, Clues, and incidental creature tokens all feed that engine, letting even small bodies quickly grow into a board that attacks profitably. The deck turns the corner by stacking counters across the squad and then converting that size into lethal combat, with Leonardo’s activated ability granting menace, trample, and lifelink to push damage through and stabilize races. Gameplay tends to develop at a medium pace: early turns build mana and token sources, midgame snowballs through counter multipliers and combat-damage payoffs, and late turns threaten sudden kills with a wide, enhanced team. Interaction is well-rounded across colors, including flexible removal and multiple sweepers, while token generation and counter-based scaling help rebuild after disruption. Players who enjoy creature combat with lots of game actions per turn will feel at home, and upgrades naturally lean toward stronger token makers, counter doublers, and more efficient five-color mana fixing.
