For Bracket 1 (Exhibition), this Ashcoat RatColony list is too efficient and too disruptive: it runs a real tutor (Splinter's Technique), premium fast mana (Dark Ritual), premium removal density (Fatal Push/The End/etc.), and a meaningful stax piece (Torpor Orb). It will routinely take over games well before the T10+ pace Bracket 1 is built around. It also contains a notable internal tension: Torpor Orb turns off many of your best ETB value Rats (Karumonix, Burglar Rat, Nezumi Informant, Lord Skitter's Butcher, Voracious Vermin), so when it’s drawn early it can reduce your own velocity even while slowing the table.
